Hello hello! Once again, I’ve gone MIA without fully intending to. I blame homework. But yesterday I turned my exegetical in, and now I have a little breathing room! Although now it’s midterm season, so I should probably be careful how much breathing room I take… no matter. Today I’m celebrating freedom! And ignoring the limits to that freedom. 😉 I have a new addition to my website for you all! I finally added a page listing the books I’m working on with (very general, subject to change) release estimates. Right now I have my projects put down through next year, though I may addRead More →

Hello hello! This has been a pretty productive few weeks (if a little crazy). I think I’ve found a rhythm with school, though as always looking at my calendar for the semester gives me a bit of a shock. But my classes are in seat, my living situation this year is great (there’s a kitty!), and I love the subjects I’m studying. It helps that this is my last year, which is simultaneously super exciting and terrifying. Last weekend I got to go camping with my Mom! The place we went was beautiful, and I had a ton of fun. (It’s also why you’re gettingRead More →

Hello hello! Good news! I’ve made it to the climax of the next Agonizomai book! Kinda sad news, I’m moving back to Colorado for school this weekend and can’t just sit down and write until I’m finished (which is what I want to do). Instead I have to pack, and do laundry, and drive. *Sigh* But I’m close enough to the end that I might actually meet my hesitant goal and finish the rough draft before I start classes again! I think I’ve mentioned before that this is my senior year of college. Exciting! And a bit nerve wracking. I’m still not sure how muchRead More →

Hello hello! Another couple of as-normal-as-you-can-get-during-a-pandemic weeks have passed, and not too much has changed. I’m still writing a lot, but I’m also working on an online literature class, so that does cut into my writing time somewhat. Still, I should break 50,000 words by the end of the week, if not today. To celebrate progress, and because I don’t have much I can think to say today (it’s too hot for deep thought…why in the world does that rhyme?!?! *sigh* English), I’m giving you guys another excerpt from Agonizomai Series book 3! (It has a title, but I’m not sure if it’s the realRead More →

Hello hello! I hope everyone’s summer is going well! This is such a weird year, and for many a very difficult year, but I hope you all have some piece of joy during these strange times. For me, it’s writing. There’s so much I usually do in the summers that I can’t do this year, including work at the Bible Camp I usually spend four weeks at. It’s sad and I’m still mourning it, but the extra time does allow me to focus more on writing my next book. Speaking of my next book, I have a writing update! Book three in the Agonzomai seriesRead More →

Hello hello! In my last post I promised some information on the book I’m writing now that Born in Darkness is out, and now I’m here to follow through! Before I tell you what it is, though, a bit of a funny story… I have started four books since finishing Born in Darkness. Yes, four. Only two have more than a few disjointed scenes. I think I’ve figured out which one is my main project for the next few months, but…yeah. It’s been interesting. All of that aside, what’s my next book? Book 3 of the Agonizomai series! This book will jump back to theRead More →

Hello hello! Once again it’s been too long since my last post… and now I’ll explain the reason for that! Last Thursday my university notified us that we’re going online for the rest of the semester because of the Coronavirus, and that we all needed to be moved out of our apartments by Spring Break. So I spent that weekend furiously packing, looking for storage, and figuring out how in the world I’m going to write an exegetical and two research papers without access to my university’s library. I even had to skip my Friday morning writing. 🙁 But! I’m home now, and thankfully IRead More →

Hello hello! I’m back at school now, already through my first week of classes. Syllabus shock has knocked me down as I look at all the assignments on my calendar and wonder how exactly I’m going to write that many papers in so few months, and it has faded as I settle into classes, sign up for paper deadlines, and trust God to carry me through to another summer. It’s gonna be hard, but then every semester is hard. Onto writing…remember in my past post, when I said I never truly know which story I’ll write next until I begin? I’ve started my next book,Read More →

Hello hello! Here we are, almost a week into the 2020, and I’m happy to report that there have been no near-death experiences of note this time. So instead I’m writing the semi-obligatory “author year reflection” that everyone seems to do. I’ve never really done one of these before (not officially, at least) so bear with me. Alright, here we go! In 2019 I finished writing two novels, a new record for me. The rough draft of Born in Darkness, my longest book yet even in the first draft, took eight months for me to write. That’s definitely a new record, especially since I’ve beenRead More →

Hey! So, once again I missed my normal post time, but this time I have a semi-respectable reason! The weekend I meant to post an update I was home for Thanksgiving Break (which was wonderful!). That alone means more distractions, but this time I faced the slight problem of a power outage. And then our internet was out. Ahem. Like I said, semi-respectable. I have news to make up for it, though… over break I finished the rough draft of Born in Darkness!!! It clocked in at over 92,000 words, my longest book yet, and I’m already working on adding more scenes to flesh outRead More →
