Hello hello everyone!
Once again I’m a bit slow on my posting, but I have a good reason! The day after I got home (barely missing the snow storm. Gah! Someone should tell the weather that it’s May) my baby brother graduated with an associates degree, and the next day he graduated from highschool! (Yes, I’m bragging a bit…but, hey! It’s a big sister’s job, right? 😉 ) By the way: yes, he looks older than me, but I’m the eldest, I swear! I’ve lost count of the people who’ve thought I was the younger of the two. *sigh* I’m gonna be twenty-five and people will still think I’m a teenager.
Getting back to the point after that rather long sidetrack…since the graduation I’ve been busy trying to move back into my room and remember what it’s like to live without homework. (I have time to write! And read for pleasure! And *gasp* think!) But I’ve also been making awesome progress on Henry’s story and Midnight’s Wings! Henry’s story is almost to novella stage, which I’m guessing is about a third of the way through, but you all know by now how my estimates work out. It could be only a quarter… I’ll give more updates as I get further in.
And Midnight’s Wings is on the second to last round of editing! And that means it’s time for the cover reveal! Drum roll please!
Ta-da! Isn’t it awesome? It took a lot of painful searching on the part of my cover designer and I to find this picture, but it’s so worth it! It’s really close to how I picture Aderyn! I think this ties with Frosted Fire as my favorite of my book covers. And I can’t wait for you guys to read this book…it’s been way too long in coming, but hopefully it’s enough to make the wait worth it. I’m still hoping for a late May, early June release, but I don’t have a better estimate quite yet. But it’s close! It’s so close I can taste it!
And last bit of news, my website has been going through some style changes (as I’m sure you’ve noticed). I think most of the drastic stuff is finished, but there are a few finishing touches left to implement. Hopefully for my next post I’ll get to explain the new theme! There’s so much good stuff in store this summer, guys… I’m so excited!
